Ainsdale leagues getting into the swing of things

The Ainsdale ladies continue to put their best efforts forward. Jean Grobowsky is still striving to get into A flight, carding 52 strokes on the back nine, while Nancy Stewart put on another putting clinic with an average of 1.5 putts per hole on the back nine.

The flight winners for Stableford points were:

• B Laura Haight 25.40
• C Janice Matchett 30.25
• D Jean Rhude 29.25
• D Jeanne Grobowsky 39.50
• E Jeanette Barnes

The flight winners for fewest putts were: 
 

• A Nancy Stewart 14
• B Laura Haight 16
• Una Macdonald 17
• D Edie Fotheringham 18
• E Jeanne Grobowsky
• F Jeanette Barnes

The sponsored-hole winners for closest to the line were:  Maureen Peet,  Barb Lansink,  Debbie Pegg,  Beth Mimnagh,  Deb Brindley  and  Jeanette Barnes. The long-drives winners were:  Debby Antler,  Laura Haight,  Lori Harding,  Norma Jean Rhody,  Deb Brindley and Joanne Wilson, while the closest to the sprinkler head went to Gail MacIntosh.

SENIOR MEN'S LEAGUE
 

On a much more pleasant day on the front nine at Ainsdale, the team of Wayne Morrow, John Kuyvenhoven, Mark Ciavaglia and John Curtis took top honors in the senior men's event with a minus-four. 

Closest to the pin on No. 3 was Mark Ciavaglia, and on No. 8 was Ray Kester.
