Special Olympics Kincardine recognizes community support
The coaches and athletes with Special Olympics Kincardine and Area know that Kincardine is a great place to live and work. Every day, they see generosity and good nature in this beautiful small town. The ripple effect of giving back can be seen clearly.
The team wanted to recognize some local organizations that have given unwavering support to this group, by presenting them with beautiful Special Olympics Ontario 50th Anniversary Community Partner Recognition Mementos earlier this year.
“While we had hoped to present them to a few more of our community partners, presentations were put on hold due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic,” said coach Stacy MacGregor. “We will present the rest as soon as we can.
“Without these community partners, and others like them, we wouldn’t be able to run our sports programs. On behalf of all coaches, committee members, volunteers and most importantly, our athletes, we extend a gigantic thank you.
“On top of that, we thank each and every person who has supported us over the years in various ways – no matter how big or small. We are beyond grateful to be part of such a generous community.
“We look forward to seeing everyone again when we are able, and in the meantime, hope you all stay home, stay safe and stay healthy.”
