Awards, flowers and desserts were the highlights of the meeting of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine hospital auxiliary, Wednesday night at the hospital.
President Ginny Ross welcomed 29 members and three volunteers with the hospital gift shop: Joan Threndyle, Marj Koberinski and Shirley Marie Harris.
The awards committee, Kaye MacDonald and Mary Lou McKee, announced this year's award recipients.

These awards are very special to celebrate and recognize the members for their volunteer time and efforts, Unfortunately, Shirley Purdie, Bonnie Stark, and Marie Book were unable to attend the meeting.
Nicole Whitwell thanked Judy Lackner and Carol Collins who helped her with the geranium sale this year, making it a record success. The Auxiliary appreciates the community support for this event, which saw 2,282 plants sold to raise money for equipment for the Kincardine hospital.
Nancy Potter prepared a very-detailed report on the booth at the Kincardine Expo, held April 25 and 26. Scarves, flags, tea towels and solar lights were the most popular items purchased. The door prize was won by Bonnie Phillips.
Anne Nicolson, student volunteer convener, has a very entertaining and informative conference and awards party lined up for the student volunteers, Friday, June 5.
Thanks to the executive members for supplying the delicious desserts! The next meeting will be at the home of Pat Emmerton, 48 Boiler Beach Road, June 24 at 6 p.m. It is a potluck dinner, so bring your favourite dish!
