Kincardine hospital auxiliary sells almost 2,300 geraniums in annual sale
The South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine hospital auxiliary sold almost 2,300 plants at its annual geranium sale this year - a new record. Last year, there were 2,200 geraniums sold.
The flowers are pre-ordered, and organizer Nicole Whitwell said there were 2,264 sold, with about 30 more purchased at the pick-up Thursday afternoon. In total, there were 927 red geraniums pre-sold, along with 381 white, 369 salmon, and 587 hot pink.
All proceeds go toward equipment for the Kincardine hospital.
