We hope everyone had a great Mother's Day.
The community/relative shower for Sarah Wray was held Saturday at Purple Grove. She was warmly welcomed by everyone there.
Members of the Purple Grove Women's Institute and friends enjoyed a day out Wednesday. First stop was a tour of the Treasure Chest Museum in Paisley, followed by a visit to a shop in downtown Paisley. The ladies ended the evening at the Burgoyne restaurant. A good time for food, fun and fellowship. The goodie packs, provided by Courtney Farm Supplies, HuronTel, Gordon Pharmasave Kincardine, the Royal Bank and the Township of Huron-Kinloss, were appreciated by everyone. Thanks to Donna Swan and Mary Anne Kukoly for organizing this outing.
Some of the Mother's Day gatherings included:
Sandra Percy Munro of Winnipeg visited with her sister, Erlma Haldenby, in Kinlough and with other family members. She also visited with Mary Anne Kukoly.
The Ripley 4-H Conservation Club planted trees Saturday morning with the Pine River Watershed Initiative Network (PRWIN). Thanks again, to all the members, leaders, parents and volunteers who came to help. Everyone enjoyed the barbecue lunch and treats after the morning's work!
