Crowd gathers at Ainsdale for open house which continues Saturday
The golfing crowd joined owners Charles and Taylor Candler at Ainsdale Golf Course, Friday night, to purchase 2019 memberships, enjoy some refreshments and talk about their favourite sport.

The annual open house at the 18-hole golf course, located on Highway 21 just south of Kincardine, continues Saturday (April 6), from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Golfers had an opportunity to check out the new patio furniture and scoreboard, even though it was too cold and wet Friday night to actually sit on the patio. They also checked out the new gear in the golf shop and enjoyed socializing in the club house.

Also new this year, the Driving Range has been moved to the back where there is three times the space. The Candlers and their staff will have that area levelled and ready for use when the course opens.

The hope is to have the greens ready for golf season to begin in late April. Players will know the course is open when the flags are flying.

League play begins April 30 for the ladies, May 2 for the men, May 6 for the senior ladies, and May 1 for the senior men.

Besides the golf course, Ainsdale features a restaurant, bar and banquet facility and is the perfect place to eat, drink and play golf.
