Kincardine Power and Sail Squadron marks 40th anniversary

Kincardine Power and Sail Squadron marks 40th anniversary

The Kincardine Power and Sail Squadron had two reasons to celebrate Friday, May 1.

First, the squadron received a plaque from Brian Reis, District Commander for the Georgian Trent District which includes Kincardine, recognizing the 40th year Canadian Power and Sail has offered boating courses in the Kincardine area.

In addition, the squadron celebrated with the graduating class of the Canadian Power and Sail course, 'Boating Essentials’, a 12-week course covering topics in Navigation and Seamanship.

Graduating from this course were Jim Levangie, Ross Thompson, Ashley Oldfield, Anthony Vandenberg, Lisa Vandenberg, Mark Showalter, Paul Austin, Adam Millar, and Kayli and Gareth Hall Elwood.
