Get ready for North-versus-South Challenge Walk May 4

It's time to revisit an old rivalry in the former Town of Kincardine.

As part of "Turn Off the Screens Week," the Huron Heights Home and School Association is resurrecting the North-versus South Challenge Walk, Monday, May 4, from 6:30-8 p.m.

Organizers hope community members and students will walk to Victoria Park and sign whether they are a North-sider or a South-sider. Students will also sign for their school. There are bragging rights and a trophy for both divisions!

If you are unsure whether you are from the North or the South, there will be maps at Victoria Park to help you out. Traditionally, the break has been at the bridges on Huron Terrace and Queen Street, and then up Durham Market Square and Russell Street.

Rain date is May 5.
