Huron Heights, Elgin Market and KTTPS students compete in track and field

Athletes from Huron Heights, Ecole Elgin Market and Kincardine Township-Tiverton public schools competed in a Kincardine community track and field meet, with junior and senior divisions running Monday, June 4; and tyke division, Tuesday, June 8, at the Davidson Centre track, Kincardine.

The junior and senior athletes competed in running races, running long jump, standing long jump, ball throw, triple jump, shot put and high jump, while the tyke athletes competed in running races, running long jump, standing long jump and ball throw.

Rather than compete for first, second and third place, the athletes competed for gold, silver and bronze standards, meaning if you jumped a certain length or height, or raced to a certain time, you won the respective standard.

Results from the senior students are as follows:

Senior Girls Running Long Jump:

• Gold - Casey Beisel
• Silver - Dakota Christie-Wylds
• Bronze - Ella Gratto and Dayle Chinnick

Senior Girls Shot Put:

• Silver - Hannah Stewart
• Bronze - Lauren Green, Harleen Gill, Keira Charbonneau, Taylor Carney, Rahfah Faddah, Morgan Talbot

Senior Girls Triple Jump:

• Gold - Taylor Carney
• Silver - Lydia Ritchie, Elle Cottrill, Kennedy Urie
• Bronze - Aarelyn Wade

Senior Boys Shot Put:

• Gold - Holden Stevenson 
• Silver - Bennet Ford, Alex MacArthur, Noah Swann
• Bronze - Caden O’Brien 

Senior Boys Triple Jump:

• Gold - Shivam Karavadra
• Silver - Cody McLelland, Chase Anderson

Senior Boys Running Long Jump:
