Kincardine taxpayers paid almost $300,000 in remuneration to their council, local boards and the Bruce Telecom board in 2014, down about $7,000 from 2013.
The amount paid to council was down by $7,000, at 223,132.91, compared to $230,320.22 in 2013, while the amount paid to the Bruce Telecom board went down about $2,000, to $58,857.23 from $60,312.38, as did the amount to local boards, to $11,134.23 from $16,084.72.
The treasurer's statement of remuneration was approved as part of the consent agenda, March 18.
Former mayor Larry Kraemer was paid a total of $29,687.48, including $27,412.66 in salary, $1,520 in per diem, and $754.82 for expenses; plus $2,926 for serving on the Bruce Telecom board, including $2,000 in per diem and $926 in expenses.
New mayor and former deputy mayor Anne Eadie received a total of $35, 007.21, including $22,409.77 in salary, $1,939.97 in per diem, and $10,657.47 for expenses.
Former councillor Guy Anderson received a total of $14,520.67, including $9,628.98 in salary, $600 in per diem, and $4,291.69 in salary.
New councillor Gordon Campbell was paid a total of $1,514.60, including $1,492.49 in salary and $22.11 for expenses.
Former councillor Ron Coristine was paid a total of $7,103.40, including $4,389.69 in salary, and $2,713.71 for expenses; and for serving on the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority, $225 in per diem and $135 for expenses.
Councillor Maureen Couture received a total of $22,112.66, including $17,588.02 in salary, $1,460 in per diem, and $3,064.64 for expenses; plus $479.85 for serving on the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority, including $375 in per diem and $104.85 for expenses.
Former councillor Kenneth Craig was paid a total of $22,629.99, including $16,095.53 in salary, $530 in per diem, and $6,004.46 for expenses.
Former councillor and new deputy mayor Jacqueline Faubert received a total of $18,683.10, including $17,937.83 in salary, $480 in per diem, and $285.27 for expenses; and for serving on the police services board, $1,779.18 in salary.
New councillor Laura Haight received a total of $1,514.60, including $1,492.49 in salary and $22.11 for expenses.
Former councillor Candy Hewitt received a total of $20,643.32, including $16,095.53 in salary, and $4,547.79 for expenses.
Councillor Mike Leggett was paid a total of $24,135.62, including $19,050.52 in salary, $83.20 in per diem, $5,001.90 for expenses (includes $1,545.70 in remuneration and expenses for serving as a firefighter); plus for serving on the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority, $150 in per diem and $90 for expenses.
New councillor Linda McKee received a total of $1,999.13, including $1,492.49 in salary, and $506.64 for expenses.
Councillor Randy Roppel was paid a total of $20,416.95, including $17,588.02 in salary, $600 in per diem, and $2,228.93 for expenses.
New councillor Andrew White received a total of $3,164.18, including $1,492.49 in salary, $320 in per diem, and $1,351.69 for expenses.; plus for serving on the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority, $150 in per diem and $39.60 for expenses.
The following were paid for serving on the Bruce Telecom board:
Doug Hunter - a total of $10,250.12, including $10,000.12 in salary, and $250 in per diem
Richard Martin - a total of $10,542.10, including $10,000.12 in salary, $250 in per diem, and $291.98 for expenses
Holly Robinson-Colley - a total of $12,783.42, including $12,000.04 in salary, and $783.38 for expenses
Barry Schmidt - a total of $11,563.49, including $10,000.12 in salary, $500 in per diem, and $1,063.37 for expenses
Tom Scott - a total of $10,792.10, including $10,000.12 in salary, $500 in per diem, and $291.98 for expenses
For serving on the police services board:
Robert Hiscox - $1,779.18 in salary
Dorothy Stapleton - $1,779.18 in salary
For serving on the Westario Power board:
Randy Hughes - a total of $9,864.78, including $9,299.59 in salary, and $565.19 for expenses
