Kincardine residents urged to keep taps running for two more weeks
Kincardine council is urging residents to keep faucets running in their homes for another two weeks to help keep waterlines from freezing.
At the meeting Wednesday night (April 1), councillor Laura Haight, policy chairperson for water and wastewater systems, told council that the work has been completed to replace the frozen watermain on Durham Market South.
She said staff continues to work on other frozen services throughout the municipality. Some residents have returned from vacation to find that the water services in their homes has frozen.
"Please keep those taps running until you are notified otherwise," said Haight.
