There is no sanity in hydro and property tax increases, say readers

To the Editor:
RE: "Kincardine council hammers out 2015 budget with 7.08% tax-rate increase"

Municipalities and public servants should be limited by law to the same increases that pensioners receive. 

That is the only income that my husband and I have. WSIB increased by 0.5 per cent for the current year and has for the last three years. Old age pension and CPP increased by less than five per cent - much less. 

Where are we supposed to come up with the extra money? 

Hydro rates go up twice a year, property taxes go up every year. The list goes on and on. 

There must be thousands of people, if not millions, caught up the same way we are. There is no sanity in these increases.
