Reader asks where residents are expected to come up with an extra $100 for taxes

To the Editor:

Thank you, (Kincardine) councillor Randy Roppel.
Tax increases play havoc with those of us who live on fixed incomes – i.e. pensioners.
This year, we were given a 0.5-per-cent increase in WCB pension. Yes, a whole half-a-per-cent - somewhere south of $10 per month.
How would we come up with an extra $100 or so? With hydro rates rising twice a year, we are struggling as it is.
