Keith Carter of Ripley died peacefully, Oct. 17, 2026, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, at the age of 92.
Beloved husband of Isabelle for 71 years.
Deeply missed by his children, Larry Carter and Susan (Mark) Miszturak, all of Ripley; his granddaughter, Brett (Matt) Bigger; and his great-grandchildren, Lauren and Will.
Also survived by his sisters-in-law, Catherine Leddy, Dorothy Howald, Sharon Metcalfe and Helen Myers; his brother-in-law, Donald McLeod; and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Eileen and Jack Carter; his sisters, Eva (Carl) Wilken and Lynda (Harold) Maurer; and his brothers-in-law, Eugene and John McLeod.
Born on the 10th Concession of Huron-Kinloss Township, Keith took great pride in carrying on the family farm alongside his wife, Isabelle. He was a skilled, self-taught welder and mechanic - talents that served him well on the farm and became life-long hobbies.
A quiet and humble man, he will be remembered for his deep love of family and friends, his quick wit and wonderful sense of humour, his love of children, and his seemingly endless generosity. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
A private graveside funeral service will be held at the Ripley Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation or Huron Shores Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family; arrangements entrusted to the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Ripley; www.mackenzieandmccreath.com.
