(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - A resident of Arran-Elderslie has been charged with impaired driving, following a motor vehicle collision.
Oct. 6, shortly before 10:30 p.m., South Bruce OPP officers were dispatched to a call involving a motor vehicle that had collided with a parked vehicle in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie. During the investigation, officers observed signs of impairment with the driver who was placed under arrest.
Christine HARRIS, 40, of Arran-Elderslie has been charged with the following offences:
Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
Operation while impaired - blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus
The accused was released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Walkerton, Nov. 25.
The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused's driver's licence was suspended for a period of 90 days.
