Michele Rose Fraser (née Sharp) of Lucknow died Sept. 28, 2026, at Goderich Hospital, surrounded by her family, at the age of 63.
To know her was to love her, and to be loved by her was truly special. She had a generous spirit and a unique and touching way of making people feel remembered and valued. She loved with her whole heart. She never forgot a birthday, a story, or the little things people shared with her. She passed no judgements and loved you for who you were, unconditionally.
Michele was the devoted mother of Chantell Rose (Mike), Joshua Stanley, Katherine, and Jennifer (Neil); proud grandmother of Autumn (Cody), Brailin, MaKayla, Karlee, Chloe, Hayley (Lucas), Nick, and Damian; and cherished great-grandmother of Aaliyah, Carson, Olivia, and Saige; as well as loving mom of their beloved dog, Sy.
Loving sister of, and survived by, Christine (Joe) and Dean (Duong), and dearly loved by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Michele treasured her family and found great joy in their lives, milestones, laughter, hugs, conversations. Her heart was full when yours was.
We will forever cherish the many homemade gifts she made with love. The warm slippers every year and especially the beautiful crocheted blankets she lovingly created, each one wrapped in the warmth of her heart and a reminder of the love she so freely gave.
Michele shared many happy years with her beloved partner, Robert “Bob” Powell, who died Sept. 10, 2026. The family finds comfort in imagining that Michele and Bob are together again and in knowing she has been reunited with those who passed before her, including her parents, Stanley and Rosalie; her sister, Paulette; grandparents, and close friends.
One of Michele’s favourite memories was that of a mock wedding to Bob in Cuba, surrounded by best friends, laughter, and sunshine — a moment that captured her joyful and fun-loving spirit perfectly.
She leaves behind a deep absence, but also a lifetime of love and memories that will never be forgotten. We will see her in every hummingbird that crosses our path and will honour her by spreading kindness as she did.
Michele, you were deeply loved and will be missed more than words can express.
Rest peacefully, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, sister, partner, and friend. Until we meet again.
A private service will be held for family and close friends at Balls Cemetery where Michele and Bob will be laid to rest together as they had always wished.
A celebration of life for Michele and Bob will follow, Oct. 24, 2026, from 1-3 p.m., at the Lucknow Legion; arrangements entrusted to the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow.
