James (Jim) Morris of Glammis died peacefully, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, Sept. 18, 2026. He did make 65, proving many people wrong.
Jim lived a very colourful life - always on his own terms. He was dearly loved by his family and many cherished friends who were as loyal to him as he was to them. Jim loved every visit when people would pop by unannounced. He would drop whatever he was doing because nothing was more important at that time.
Survived by his children, Lauren (James), Katie (Micah) and Mike; and grandchildren, Darren, Bentley, Cian, Berric and Kellar.
Also survived by his sisters, Helen (Steve) and Lorna (Clayton); nieces and nephews, Heather, Andrew, John, Rachel and Kailey; dear friends, Brenda, Cam and Craig Cook, Rick and Randy Alexander, Pearce (my Po), Kevin Reist, Jer ’N’ Michelle Hiscock, Josie Morris and Sam Bester; his many Glammis people; and his beloved cat, Slug.
Predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Eileen Morris; baby sister, Anne Marie; and cherished sister, Anne Vicki Brockway (Felix).
We are so very appreciative of the nurses and doctors at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, who cared for him in his final days; Dr. Gary Gurbin for his kindness and care for many years; and more recently, Dr. Altaf. Dr. Sandhu in Owen Sound has given Jim five more years of meaningful life. Bless them all.
Friends and relatives are invited to a celebration of Jim's life, Saturday, Oct. 25, 2026, from 2-5 p.m., at the Chepstow Lions Hall. Jim would say, "Invite everyone," "You're bootiful" and "Hakuna Matata", no worries.
