Danzel Smith (above) is the new Bruce County corporate facilities director.
Joining the county’s senior leadership team, Danzel will provide strategic and operational leadership for the county’s corporate facilities portfolio. This includes capital planning, building operations, maintenance and renewal, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
He brings almost 20 years progressively senior leadership experience in facilities, infrastructure, construction, and plant operations across municipal government, manufacturing, and residential and commercial property environments.
He has directed maintenance, reliability and capital renewal programs for complex, multi-site facility portfolios, and has led teams in emergency response, regulatory compliance, energy management, and continuous improvement.
His credentials include a Master's degree in Business Administration, an Energy Systems Engineering Technology diploma, Certified Technician designation, and Project Management Professional certification.
“It is a great pleasure to congratulate Danzel (Smith) on his appointment as the county’s new director of corporate facilities,” said warden Luke Charbonneau. “His extensive experience in facilities operations, capital planning, and team leadership will support the county as we continue to care for our buildings, plan for future needs, and provide safe, reliable spaces for staff and the public.”
In his new role, Smith will work with teams across the organization to guide facility investments, strengthen operational planning, and support the county’s long-term service needs.
