Five-year-old pedestrian injured in collision with vehicle in Goderich

(GODERICH, ON) - Saturday, Sept. 12, just before 2:30 p.m., the Huron County OPP, along with Huron County Emergency Medical Services (EMS), responded to a motor vehicle collision on Quebec Street in the Town of Goderich.

A five-year-old pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle and suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries. The child was transported by EMS to a trauma centre and is in stable condition. No one else was injured as a result of the collision.

Quebec Street was closed, between Waterloo Street South and Wellington Street South, as police investigated the collision. OPP resources have since cleared the area and the roadway has been re-opened.

The investigation remains ongoing.
