The Huron Shores ATV Club has announced the completion of the Sideroad 30 multi-use trail, a project made possible through a multi-year partnership with the Municipality of South Bruce and collaboration with the Eastern Ontario Trail Alliance, the Ontario Federation of Trail Riders, and trail partner Bruce Peninsula Off-road Riders' Association.
Over the past year, the ATV club has invested approximately $65,000 to revitalize Sideroad 30, extending from Concession 2 to Concession 10. The trail provides users with an opportunity to enjoy wooded areas, wetlands, creeks, and scenic rural landscapes.
The project was supported through trail permit revenues, the Polaris TRAILS grant program, and generous contributions from D&I Wattam Construction, and Robertsons Welding.
The club extends its sincere appreciation to all of its partners, contractors, volunteers, and supporters who helped bring this project to life.
“This trail is about more than just riding," says club president Tyler Johnston. "It’s about getting people outside, enjoying our community, and creating another opportunity for families and visitors to experience the outdoors.”
The Huron Shores ATV Club is proud to celebrate this community investment and looks forward to officially opening the trail with an opening ceremony, Friday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m.
The trail is typically open to off-road vehicles from May 1 to Oct. 31, weather and trail conditions permitting.
