About 850 people turned out for the annual Ripley Food, Art and Craft Festival, held Saturday, at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre.
The event featured more than 50 area vendors, artisans and crafters, showcasing their amazing products, including jewellery, baked goods, knitted and crocheted work, meat products, oils, stone-milled flour, sauces and spices, handcrafts, woodworking, and much more.
Amy Irwin, Huron-Kinloss economic development officer, said the festival was a huge success, with almost twice as many people attending compared to last year.
Proceeds from the event go toward the beautification of downtown Ripley.
The township is slowly transitioning the festival to become "The Back Forty Bazaar," reflecting the municipality's "Secrets of the Back Forty" tourism brand.
