Huron Shores Hospice is hosting its first Wings of Remembrance Butterfly Release, Saturday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m., at the Walk of Memories in Tiverton.
Each butterfly released during this event symbolizes a loved one who continues to live on in the hearts of those who loved him/her.
Whether you are remembering a family member, friend, neighbour, pet, marriage, or someone who made a lasting impact on your life, this ceremony offers a beautiful opportunity to honour that person's memory.
Butterflies are available to reserve for release during the event. Adopt one butterfly for $20 or adopt three butterflies for $50. You can purchase butterflies at www.huronshoreshospice.ca/butterfly-release by Aug. 4.
When completing your purchase, you will have the opportunity to provide the name(s) of the loved one(s) you wish to honour. These names will be included in the Reading of the Names during the ceremony.
Aug. 22, guests will enjoy a meaningful afternoon, featuring a community butterfly release along the Walk of Memories, a reading of the names of loved ones being honoured, live music by local musician Jim Mondry of S'More Books, a special guest speaker, and light refreshments following the ceremony.
This family-friendly event welcomes people of all ages, offering children, parents, grandparents, and friends a chance to remember, reflect, and celebrate together.
