Whether you're new to the Municipality of Kincardine or have lived here your whole life, the municipality is encouraging residents to check their voter information for the 2026 municipal and school board election.
Elections Ontario is compiling the Voters' List, and residents can visit www.registertovoteon.ca before Aug. 12 to confirm they are on the Voters' List, update their information, or add themselves to the list.
It is especially important to check if you:
Are new to the Municipality of Kincardine or have recently moved
Live in a newer subdivision
Are a tenant
Have recently turned age 18
As a reminder, to be eligible to vote in this year's election, you must:
Be a Canadian citizen
Be at least 18 years of age
Reside in the Municipality of Kincardine, or be the owner or tenant of land in the Municipality of Kincardine, or the spouse of an owner or tenant
Not be prohibited from voting under any law
In the coming weeks, the municipality may contact some residents whose voter information appears to be incomplete, inaccurate, or missing. Notifications may be sent by mail or by E-mail from voterhelpdesk@kincardine.ca. These E-mails are intended only to encourage residents to visit www.registertovoteon.ca and verify or update their voter information. The municipality will never request personal information by E-mail as part of this process.
Residents are encouraged to monitor their mailboxes and E-mail inboxes for any communications regarding their voter information.
Any changes to the Voters' List after Aug. 12 must be made in person at the Kincardine municipal administration centre. Take this opportunity to check your information from the comfort of your own home.
If you have questions or require assistance, contact the Voter Help Desk at 519-396-8223 or voterhelpdesk@kincardine.ca.
