Residents, business owners, visitors invited to help shape future of tourism in Kincardine

The Municipality of Kincardine is inviting residents, visitors, and business owners to help shape the future of tourism by providing input into the development of a new tourism strategy.

Tourism plays an important role in Kincardine’s economy, supporting local businesses, creating jobs, and contributing to the vibrancy of communities across the municipality. Did you know that more than $16.5-million in wages, more than $85-million in sales and more than 800 jobs are supported by businesses within the municipality’s tourism sector?

The municipality, in partnership with the Regional Tourism Organization 7 (RTO7) will be engaging with residents, visitors, business owners, special event organizers and community stakeholders over the coming months to gather feedback and identify priorities for the future.

The municipality wants to hear what makes Kincardine special, what opportunities exist for improvement, and how it can continue to build a strong and sustainable tourism sector for the future.

You can complete a survey on-line or pick up a paper copy of the survey at the Municipal Administration Centre, or at the Welcome Centre at 707 Queen Street in downtown Kincardine.

As a thank you for participating, every survey respondent will receive one complimentary admission to either the Kincardine Lighthouse or the Walker House Museum.

To complete the survey, visit www.kincardine.ca/tourism-survey.
