Jarratt MacIntosh of Kincardine died June 21, 2026, at the age of 49.
Born and raised in Kincardine, he was proud to call this community home.
At the heart of Jarratt's life was his family. He loved being Dad to Gracey and Ronin, and they were his greatest pride. He was the kind of father who made life fun, encouraged them to be true to themselves, and always believed in them. He led with love, humour, and unwavering support. Gracey and Ronin were at the heart of everything he did, and the values he instilled in them will remain among his greatest legacies.
He will be deeply missed by his loving parents, Noel and Gail MacIntosh; his sister, Cristal (Brian Kelly); and all who knew and loved him.
Known for his larger-than-life personality, Jarratt embraced life wholeheartedly. He loved to talk, was always himself, had a story for every occasion, and if it was a good one, you'd probably hear it more than once. He was quick-witted, loved making others laugh, and could quote just about any movie at exactly the right moment.
Jarratt spent 24 years at Bruce Power, where he most recently served as first line manager of the Bruce A Scaffold Department. He was a respected leader who took great pride in his work. His knowledge, leadership, and unwavering work ethic earned him the respect of his colleagues, while his humour and enthusiasm made him someone people genuinely loved working alongside.
Jarratt loved spending time on the water fishing. It wasn't just about the catch — it was about the people, the stories, and the time spent together. He dedicated countless hours to coaching in Kincardine, giving back to the game he loved, and taking great pride in the players and teams he was fortunate to be a part of.
Jarratt lived life to the fullest. He loved spending time with the people he loved, cooking for family and friends, making them laugh, and finding the perfect gift, even if he could never quite keep it a surprise. He made every gathering a little warmer, a little louder, and a lot more memorable.
Those wishing to honour Jarratt's memory may do so by supporting Gracey and Ronin through the family's GoFundMe campaign, or by donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
