The Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games and the 2028 Kincardine Reunion have announced a new strategic partnership that brings together two long-standing community organizations with a shared commitment to strengthening community connections and supporting the future success of Kincardine.
That's the word from a press release, issued by the two groups, Friday.
Built on a foundation of volunteerism, collaboration, and community pride, this partnership creates an opportunity for both organizations to work together in meaningful ways while supporting the success of the 2028 reunion and strengthening the traditions that make Kincardine such a vibrant and connected community.
In recognition of the significant financial and in-kind value being contributed through this partnership, the festival will be recognized as a Lighthouse Sponsor of the 2028 Kincardine Reunion — the reunion’s highest sponsorship level, recognizing partnerships valued at $7,500 and above.
This partnership is built around three key pillars:
Fund-raising opportunities - Over the next two-and-a-half years, the festival will support the reunion through multiple fund-raising initiatives, including planned 50/50 draws and seven other opportunities designed to provide direct financial support toward reunion activities and programming.
Strategic partnership benefits - As part of this collaboration, the reunion will benefit from access to volunteer management systems, operational resources, event-planning expertise, and organizational tools that will improve efficiency, reduce administrative burden, reduce costs, and support volunteer co-ordination for future reunion activities.
Community benefits - Beyond direct support for the reunion, this partnership demonstrates the value of community organizations working together by sharing resources, expertise, and volunteer capacity to strengthen local connections, create new opportunities for engagement, and build long-term benefits for the broader Kincardine community.
“We’re grateful to the organizers of the Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games for bringing forward an opportunity to partner in a way that benefits both organizations and the community as a whole,” said Tracy Primeau, chairperson of the Kincardine Reunion 2028 organizing committee. “We share a common goal of bringing people together, celebrating community traditions, and creating experiences that strengthen connections for both residents and visitors, alike.”
“At the Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games, we have always believed that strong communities are built through leadership, collaboration, and a willingness to support one another,” said president Tony Doherty. “As one of the community’s largest volunteer-driven events, we are proud to leverage our experience, resources, and fund-raising capacity to help support the Kincardine Reunion 2028. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in initiatives that strengthen our community and create lasting benefits for residents and visitors, alike."
None of this would be possible without the dedication, passion, and ongoing support of volunteers, sponsors, community partners, and residents who continue to invest their time and energy into making Kincardine a community that thrives through collaboration and shared traditions.
Together, this partnership represents a shared investment in Kincardine’s future and demonstrates what can be accomplished when organizations work together to build something bigger than themselves.
