Beverly Jean Spence of Kincardine died June 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family at the age of 74.

Predeceased by her husband, James (Brian) Spence, in 2022; her parents, William C. Solomon and Joan M. Wright; and sister, Barbara J. Starr.

Also survived by her late husband’s siblings and their families, William (Bill) Spence and his wife, Beverly Ann, and their children, Joelene Murphy (Matthew) and David Spence (Graham); Mary (Virginia) Spence; and Peter Spence and his children, Ian Spence and Emma Spence; as well as her great-nieces and great-nephew, Sloan, William, and Mia Murphy, children of Joelene and Matthew Murphy.

Born in Royal Oak, Michigan, Beverly later made her home in Kincardine. She was devoted to the many dogs she cared for over the years and found great joy in gardening and cooking.

An exceptionally-talented cook, she loved preparing meals and sharing them with family and friends. She took pride in her gardens and enjoyed the simple pleasures of home, spending time with those she loved, and caring for her beloved pets.

Beverly will be remembered for her kindness and deep devotion to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In keeping with Beverly’s wishes, there will be no funeral service, and cremation has taken place.

Her final resting place will be at Pine River Cemetery in Point Clark.
