Two charged after seizure of drugs and firearms in Kincardine

(KINCARDINE, ON) - A search warrant, executed in the Town of Kincardine, resulted in the seizure of a quantity of illegal drugs and six firearms, with two individuals facing charges.

An investigation was initiated by the South Bruce OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the South Bruce OPP, Wellington County OPP CSCU, Grey-Bruce OPP CSCU, West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team and West Region OPP Canine Unit.

Friday, May 22, a search warrant was executed at an address on Princes Street in Kincardine which resulted in the seizure of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, opioids, and six firearms.

Andrew McDONALD, 24, of Kincardine, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Careless Storage of a Firearm - six counts

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm - six counts

  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm - six counts

  • Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm - two counts

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Other Opioid

The accused was arrested, held for a bail hearing, and later released from custody with a court date scheduled for June 24, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.

Bradley ADAIR, 29, of Kincardine, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Careless Storage of a Firearm - five counts

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm- five counts

  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm - five counts

  • Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm - two counts

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Other Opioid

The accused was arrested and later released with a court date of June 24, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
