Marian Underwood of Kincardine died peacefully, at Braemar Retirement Centre, Wingham, May 18, 2026, in her 92nd year.
Born Dec. 24, 1934, in Kincardine, she was the daughter of Elton Orr and Susan Goodman Orr.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Alan Underwood; her parents; and her siblings, Bob Orr, Howard Orr, Harvey Orr, Marg Reid, and Eilean Ribey.
Dearly missed by her children, Debby (Jim) McMullen of Parry Sound, Kathy (Doug) Puddicombe of Minden, and Jamie (Vicki) Underwood of London.
Lovingly remembered by her six grandchildren, Katelyn (Richard) Tsang, Bethany (Chris) Cunningham, Brett Puddicombe, Krista (Alex) Van Pelt, Brianna Underwood (Julian), and Brayden Underwood (Logan); as well as her five great-grandchildren, Casen, Ainsley, Hayley, Parker, and Brooklyn.
Also survived by her sister, Lois Kerr.
Marian cherished visits with her dear friend, Leota King, and her sister-in-law, Merle Underwood.
Throughout her working life, Marian dedicated herself to caring for the people of Wingham, Uxbridge and Newmarket, through her career as a nurse. She was also a devoted member of the Knox Presbyterian Church in Kincardine. She will be remembered for her altruism and kindness that touched many of those in the community, but most of all her beloved family.
Friends and relatives are invited to the funeral, Friday, May 22, 2026, at 1 p.m., at Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine, with visitation one hour prior, beginning at 12 p.m. Reception to follow, at the church.
Interment, Kincardine Cemetery.
