South Bruce OPP officer receives life-saving award

The South Bruce OPP has awarded constable Mike Scott with the Commissioner's Citation for Life-saving.

Scott responded to an emergency call Nov. 5, 2024, after an individual experienced a medical crisis at the top of a building in the Municipality of Brockton.

The officer was able to communicate with compassion and empathy to de-escalate the situation; ultimately, being able to safely help and assist the person involved.

Inspector Keegan Wilcox, detachment commander of the South Bruce OPP, presented the award to Scott, April 21.
