Sunny, warm weather greets crowd at summer kick-off in downtown Kincardine

It was perfect weather on the long weekend as a great crowd turned out for "A Taste of Summer" in downtown Kincardine, including the first Monday Market in the Park, as well as Kincardine Tourism's Lakeside Launch in Victoria Park.

It was sunny, warm and windy Saturday, as people were greeted with music along Queen Street. Various community groups set up displays beside several food trucks in Victoria Park, and the children enjoyed the Amazing Andy Magic Show. There was live music at Queen's Look-out in the evening.

Sunday featured a car show, pipe band parade, face-painting, and the official opening of patio season.

Monday brought hot, sunny weather as a huge crowd jammed Victoria Park for the first Market in the Park. There were long line-ups for the sweet treats provided by the Back Forty Baker, Fizzie's Dirty Soda Bar, and Griffin's Sweet Sensations, among others.

The event also featured balloon animals by the Amazing Andy, and Evan Ruzycky and his Garlic Chop, along with numerous vendors selling produce, honey, smoked and cured meats, hats, clothing, and so much more.

Market in the Park runs every Monday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., now through to Sept. 7.
