Kincardine Legion Corner
We had a great turn-out for the
Mega Meat Draw, Saturday. HWY 19 rocked the house and played so many great songs I lost count. Everyone enjoyed the special $5 menu, as well as the three new Legion beers. We gave out 16 meat prizes, and we had only one double-dipper - Carolyn Hamilton. We also had some other great raffle prizes and some LCBO and Beer Store gift cards that were won. The afternoon wrapped up with a big 50/50 win of $1,177.50 - congratulations to Catherine Frook on that big win. As always, thanks to everyone who volunteered that afternoon to make this event happen. And thanks to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday.

We congratulate our first May Early Bird winner, Ken Davey, who won $500 in the
Kin Cares 50/50 draw last Friday. Thank you for supporting Kin Cares 50/50, Ken! The next Early Bird draw was set for Friday, May 15, for another $500.
Exciting news! Effective immediately, we will now offer
free coffee for veterans in the clubroom.
This Sunday, May 17, at 2 p.m. we have our
General Membership Meeting. This will be our last meeting with the current executive, as the new executive takes over June 1. Parking for this Sunday’s meeting will be limited, as there is a Celebration of Life that afternoon. Please plan accordingly, and thank you for understanding.
One last reminder to let our Branch Service Officer Dave Carson know if any veterans wish to book a time with Rebecca Hyndman, our
Provincial Service Officer, for some time between May 27-29. If you would like to meet with her, reach out to Dave at
sailorkit@gmail.com or call 519-386-5314 and let him know.
