Lakeside Chevrolet Buick GMC donates $50,000 to BUILDKD-plus Campaign
Joe and Julie Gudelj of Lakeside Chevrolet Buick GMC in Kincardine have kicked off the corporate support for the BUILDKD-plus Campaign, providing a generous $50,000 donation to enhance the auto and manufacturing shops at the new Kincardine District Senior School (KDSS).

"We extend our sincere thanks to Joe and Julie, and the entire team at Lakeside Chevrolet Buick GMC, for their outstanding commitment to this once-in-a-generation opportunity for Kincardine and our wider community," said KDSS principal Don Burns, chairman of the campaign.

The Gudeljs said they are thrilled to support not only the overall campaign but specifically, the tools and hoists within the auto and manufacturing shops. These enhanced learning spaces will provide students with hands-on opportunities to develop practical skills and explore career pathways. They will also provide spaces for community and industry training in the evenings.

Burns said the $4.5-million BUILDKD-plus Campaign is about creating learning and activity spaces that go beyond the base school build — spaces that reflect what students deserve and what the community can make possible together.

"On behalf of KDSS, the BUILDKD-plus Campaign, and the students who will benefit from these future-ready spaces for decades to come, we offer our heartfelt thanks to Lakeside Chevrolet Buick GMC for helping us BUILDKD-plus for generations to come," said Burns. "We hope this is the first of many corporate donations."
