South Bruce OPP report fire at Ripley school; and commercial vehicle collision
FIRE AT RIPLEY-HURON COMMUNITY SCHOOL

(KINCARDINE, ON) - Wednesday, May 6, just before 1 p.m., South Bruce OPP officers responded to the report of a burning smell at Ripley-Huron Community School.

OPP members, the Ripley-Huron Fire Department and Lucknow Fire Department all responded.

The school had already been safely evacuated, and staff and students were transferred to the Ripley-Huron Community Centre. There were no injuries.

During the evacuation, officers worked with school staff and firefighters to transport food and drinks to the students. Staff and students were able to enter the school before dismissal time.

DRIVER CHARGED AFTER COMMERCIAL VEHICLE COLLISION

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) - April 30, just before 2 p.m., members of the South Bruce OPP, Bruce County Emergency Medical Services and the Ripley-Huron Fire Department responded to a report of a collision involving a commercial motor vehicle that rolled over on Concession 4 in Huron-Kinloss Township.

The driver was transported to the Kincardine Hospital with minor injuries.

A 27-year-old of Dundalk has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Careless Driving.
