Registration opens March 12 for Lighthouse-to-Lighthouse Half Marathon
The Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation has announced that registration opens Thursday, March 12, for the inaugural Lighthouse-to-Lighthouse Half Marathon and 5K race.

This new signature event, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 4, will take runners on a breathtaking journey from the historic Point Clark Lighthouse to the iconic Kincardine Lighthouse, following the scenic shoreline of Lake Huron.

“We’re proud to launch the Lighthouse-to-Lighthouse Half Marathon and 5K race, and grateful to everyone who chooses to support local care through this new tradition,” said foundation president Becky Fair. “We’re thrilled to bring a new event to the region that blends personal achievement with meaningful impact.”

All proceeds from the race will support the foundation, helping fund essential equipment and facility upgrades that directly benefit patients and families across the region.

The inaugural race will directly support the current hospital expansion and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine project.

“We thought there was no better place to announce our registration date than right here in the emergency department where the strength and resilience of our health-care workers and community are on display every day,” said race director Sarah Foster.

Details for registration can be found at lighthousetolighthouse.ca, along with route maps, volunteer opportunities, and fund-raising tools.

Early Bird pricing will be available from March 12 to May 31, giving participants the opportunity to secure the best rate for this inaugural event. There will also be regular pricing, and late-entry pricing.
