​Kincardine enforces half-load limits on roadways, March 1 to April 30

To protect municipal roads and reduce maintenance costs during the spring thaw, the Municipality of Kincardine enforces annual half-load restrictions from March 1 to April 30, annually.

During this time, all vehicles are restricted to a maximum of five tonnes per axle (5,000 kilograms or 11,023 pounds) on applicable municipal roads.

Half-load restrictions are currently in effect.

Enforcement should be expected on roads where signage is posted, including:
 

• North Street (year-round)
• All concession roads and sideroads throughout the municipality, except Concession 2, from Highway 21 to its westerly limit

These measures help protect the municipality’s infrastructure investment and minimize long-term road maintenance costs.

It is an offence to contravene these restrictions under Section 122 of the Highway Traffic Act.
