​Jim McFarlan, formerly of Holyrood, dies at the age of 84
James Robert (Jim) McFarlan, formerly of Holyrood, died at Huronlea Home for the Aged in Brussels, Feb. 18, 2026 in his 85th year.

Born June 24, 1941, in Bruce Township, he was the son of the late Mary Jane (Jones) and Donald McFarlan.

Sadly missed by his brothers and sister, Elmer McFarlan of Wingham, Leonard (Josie) McFarlan of Guelph, and Helen (Charles) Osborne of Kitchener.

Predeceased by his siblings, Winnie (Frank) Siegel of Kincardine, Ivan (Joan) McFarlan of Kincardine, and Allan McFarlan of Teeswater. Also predeceased by his sister-in-law, Muriel McFarlan.

Jim farmed his property in Holyrood until he retired to Huronlea Home for the Aged where he was well cared for. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends.  

The funeral will be held at the Mackenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior.

Interment, South Kinloss Cemetery.
