Kincardine Bulldogs notch two wins, one loss, on the weekend
The Kincardine Bulldogs wrapped up the regular season with two wins and one loss on the weekend, landing them in fourth place in the North Pollock Division of the Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL), behind Fergus, Hanover and Mount Forest, and ahead of Walkerton, Mitchell and Wingham.
Friday night, the 'Dogs travelled to Wingham and trounced the Ironmen, 7-2.
Goal-scorers were Nathan Lavender with two, Ryan Robillard with two, Cole Lewis with a short-handed, unassisted marker, and singles by Jared Houghton and Zasha Ortman.
Assists went to Caeleb Bowler, Robillard, Ty McQuillin, Blake Hellyer, Tyler Wagler, Owen Shore (2) and Houghton (2).
Kincardine goalie Rowen Cherrett made 28 saves on 30 shots.
Saturday night, at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine, the Bulldogs defeated the Mount Forest Patriots, 5-2.
Scoring for Kincardine, were Robillard, Jackson Hayward-Nelson (unassisted), McQuillin, Bowler and Lewis (unassisted).
Assists went to Tyler Kelly, Houghton, Shore and Robillard,
Cherrett made 31 saves on 33 shots in the Bulldogs net.
Monday afternoon, Kincardine travelled to Fergus and came home on the short end of a 6-4 score.
Goal-scorers were Houghton, Kelly, Wagler and Cameron Sultana.
Assists went to Hellyer (2), Sultana, Houghton, Cade Moffat and Kelly.
Kincardine goalie Blake Beitz made 30 saves on 36 shots.
