Huron-Kinloss publishes mayor's proposed 2026 budget with 4% tax-rate increase
As part of the annual planning process, Huron-Kinloss Township has published mayor Don Murray's proposed budget for 2026 which contains a four-per-cent tax-rate increase.
Prepared by
the mayor (above) in accordance with the Municipal Act, this draft outlines proposed investments in township operations, infrastructure, and community services for the upcoming year.

The mayor will formally present the 2026 budget at the council meeting, Monday, Jan. 26, set to run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the council chamber at 21 Queen Street, Ripley.
This meeting is open to the public. Residents are invited to attend to learn more about the township’s financial plans for the year.
Following the presentation, members of council will have an opportunity to propose amendments to the draft budget in accordance with the legislated process for mayor strong powers under the Municipal Act.
