Kincardine Bulldogs suffer two losses at the hands of Fergus on the weekend
The Kincardine Bulldogs suffered two losses at the hands of Fergus on the weekend in Provincial Junior Hockey League action.

Saturday night at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine, the ‘Dogs lost by a close 6-4 score.

Following a scoreless first period, Fergus opened the scoring early in the second, taking two goals before Zasha Ortman put Kincardine on the board, scoring from Tyler Wagler and Jared Houghton. The Whalers fired in two more shots to end the period at 4-1.

Fergus grabbed another goal early in final frame, before Cole Lewis scored from Ortman and Caeleb Bowler to make it a 5-2 game. Minutes later, Bowler scored from Tristan Steven and Lewis to inch Kincardine closer, but Fergus fired in another shot to make it 6-3.
As time ran out, Bryce Martin scored from Ortman and Steven and that was it, as the Whalers took the 6-4 win.
Kincardine goalie William Belitski made 30 saves on 36 shots.

In Fergus, Sunday afternoon, the Whalers trounced the Bulldogs, 11-0.
Kincardine had only 20 shots on goal, compared to 46 by Fergus.
Bulldogs goalie Blake Beitz made 18 saves on 22 shots, while his fellow goalie, Belitski, made 17 saves on 24 shots.
The ‘Dogs are in Mount Forest, Saturday, Dec. 6, at 8 p.m., with a return by the Patriots, Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine, at 4 p.m.
The rest of the month, the Bulldogs are on the road, facing Walkerton, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m.; Wingham, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m.; Hanover, Dec. 17, at 8 p.m.; Mitchell, Dec. 19, at 8 p.m.; and Mitchell again, Dec. 21, at 4:30 p.m.
