Kincardine Messiah Society presents Handel’s “Messiah” in Kincardine
The Kincardine Messiah Society has taken over a long-time musical tradition in Kincardine, presenting Orchestra Grey Bruce and the Saugeen County Chorus performing George Frideric Handel's “Messiah,” Saturday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m., at Knox Presbyterian Church, 345 Durham Street, Kincardine.
“Messiah” has been a tradition in Kincardine for 23 years, presented as part of the Kincardine Summer Music Festival. The Messiah Society is honoured to continue this tradition which for many, marks the start of the Christmas season.
A talented group of local singers and musicians has been assembled for this year's performance. If you have yet to attend “Messiah,” this is a great opportunity to hear the famous oratorio performed by a full orchestra and chorus under the direction of Rob Tite.
The line-up of soloists includes soprano Liz Coates, alto Megan Gramigna, tenor John De Jager, and bass John Low, all gifted singers and well-known in the community.
Tickets are $35 each; available at Accents, and Wilder and Rain Flowers in downtown Kincardine, on-line at
