Lucknow Kinsmen donate $60,000 toward new bone-density scanner at Wingham Hospital
The Lucknow and District Kinsmen Club has donated $60,000 toward the purchase of a new bone-density scanner for the Wingham and District Hospital, a service that has not previously been available locally.
Bone-density scans are an important diagnostic tool that help detect osteoporosis and assess fracture risk. Having this equipment on-site in Wingham will mean patients can access this important test closer to home.
Funds for the donation were raised through the continued success of Lucknow’s Music in the Fields and the Dungannon Super Pull and Demo Derby this past summer. Both events are critical to the club’s ability to support charitable and community initiatives throughout Bruce and Huron counties.
“The Kinsmen and the many volunteers behind Music in the Fields and the Dungannon Super Pull make an incredible difference in our community,” said Nicole Duquette-Jutzi, executive director of the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation. “Their dedication, generosity, and the countless hours they invest directly, translates to quality health care close to home.”
The foundation thanks all of the Kinsmen, sponsors, volunteers and attendees who make Music in the Fields and the Dungannon Super Pull and Demo Derby possible each year. To enjoy the 2026 events and support more good work by the Lucknow Kinsmen, save the date for the Super Pull, June 19-20; and Music in the Fields, Aug. 27-29. Visit
