Kincardine Legion Corner

Tanya and Bill Murray won $3,488 in the Catch the Ace draw. They chose Envelope No. 41 which contained the Two of Hearts. Next week, the jackpot is estimated to be more than $82,000! At the Saturday Meat Draw, Karen Brady and Elmer Lamont were both double-dippers. Janice Burgess not only won the prize in the 50/50 draw and took home $185, she also won some meat as well. Congratulations to all the winners!

While we are on the subject of meat, we will soon be having wings at the Legion Bar, once we get our new fryer up and running, so watch for those next week.

Everyone at Branch 183 was very sorry to hear of the passing of veteran Ron McGarvey. Ron passed away Dec. 21, 2024. He was in the Armed Forces for 10 years, from 1951 to 1961. We send our deepest condolences to Ron’s friends and family. You can find Ron’s Obituary on the Kincardine Record Website. Rest in peace, Ron; we thank you for your service.

• Friday, Feb. 21 - Trivia Night at 7 p.m.
• Sunday, Feb. 23 - General Membership Meeting at 2 p.m.
• Sunday, Feb. 23 - Family Dinner, will be a roast beef dinner, at 5 p.m.
• Friday, March 14 - St. Patty's Dinner and Dance with the Irish Cowboys. Entrance by donation. Irish food will be served - Irish Stew, Shepherd's Pie, Irish Soda bread and Irish Bread Pudding.
• Saturday, April 26 - Mudmen Concert - Tickets are on sale now at the Legion Bar.
• September - Lulu’s Band is coming back.
