​Long-time owner of Holyrood General Store, Allan Miller, dies at the age of 86
Allan Ross Miller, formerly of Holyrood, died at the Wingham and District Hospital, Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, at the age of 86.

Born March 5, 1938, in Kinloss Township, he was the son of the late Mary (Smith) and Frank Miller.

Survived by his wife, Lucy; and children, Susan Miller of Kitchener, Karen Miller (James Seesahai) of Milton and Jim Miller of London.

Also greatly missed by his granddaughter, Emma; and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his sister, Betty Hinchberger; and brother, Harvey Miller.

Allan and Lucy owned and operated the Holyrood General Store (affectionately known as the Miller Mall) for almost 40 years, retiring in 2023. A well-known and beloved country store, it was also the local post office, and served regionally-famous ice cream cones.

Visitation will be held at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

The funeral will be held at the South Kinloss Church, Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at 2 p.m.

Spring interment, South Kinloss Cemetery.

Donations to the Wingham and District Hospital would be greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
