Goderich couple wins third annual Kincardine Dancing With the Stars
Celebrity dancer Emily Corbett and seasoned dancer Benjamin Hearn, both of Goderich, proved they had the moves as they took the championship trophy in the third annual Dancing With the Stars, held Saturday night at the Kincardine Pavilion.

The fund-raising event is in support of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Kincardine and District, and featured seven couples performing various dances to the delight of the sold-out crowd, plus those tuning in virtually.

MC Barry Neilson welcomed everyone in-person and on-line, and kept things moving along. There was a brief pause when the power went out, but it was quickly restored and the show carried on.

Judging the event, were Carole Weber, technical judge, of Benmiller; Courtney Dunlop, style judge, of Bruce County; and celebrity judge Mike Rencheck, president and chief executive officer of Bruce Power, who were piped to their seats by Jennifer Farrell of the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band.

The seven couples performed their first numbers, followed by a short intermission, then their second dance numbers. The judges determined the top three couples, who then performed once more, before the winners were announced.

Taking to the floor first, were celebrity dancer Sid Duggan and seasoned dancer Jaki Mayer-Duggan who performed a Waltz and a Cha Cha.
