Bruce Telecom continues support of Huron Shores Hospice
Bruce Telecom, the connection sponsor for Huron Shores Hospice, has renewed its support of $21,143.04 for in-kind telephone, Internet and television services for the two hospice suites over the next four years.
“Bruce Telecom has been an unwavering supporter of our community hospice since we opened our doors,” said executive director Cathy Herbert. “The in-kind services provide our residents with entertainment as well as connection with family and friends. Bruce Telecom has not only agreed to provide these services for the hospice suites but also committed to future sponsorship of hospice fund-raising endeavours.”
“Bruce Telecom is proud to continue supporting Huron Shores Hospice,” said Ray Lahoud, president and chief executive officer. “We recognize the outstanding comfort and care the hospice provides to its patients, and we want to do our part by providing the comforts of TV, home phone and Internet,”

GREAT CANADIAN GIVING CHALLENGE
The Great Canadian Giving Challenge is back! Every $1 donated on-line to Huron Shores Hospice in the month of June earns the hospice a chance to win the $20,000 grand prize from Canada Helps.
But that’s not all, thanks to the hospice’s matching sponsor, Bruce Power, the first $5,000 in donations this year will double your impact!
“We know the need in our community is very high for grief support, end-of-life planning, Doula services and caregiver support,” said Cheryl Cottrill, co-chairperson of Huron Shores Hospice. “When we dream about what a $20,000 prize would allow us to do to further support end-of-life care and grief recovery in our community, we think about how many more people we could reach with your support.”
