PC leader Patrick Brown wins seat in Simcoe North
Wednesday, Sept. 3, residents of Simcoe North turned out to the polls to cast their votes for their new Member of Provincial Parliament, with Progressive Conservative (PC) leader Patrick Brown winning in a decisive victory.

After more than a decade of Liberal governance, Ontario has had its credit rating downgraded, lost 300,000 manufacturing jobs and become the most indebted sub-national borrower in the world, says Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson. The Liberals continue to raise the cost of living and doing business in Ontario, all while facing the scandal of four OPP investigations.

"Patrick (Brown)'s win in Simcoe North is a reality check for Ontario premier Kathleen Wynne and her Liberals. People are fed up with the government's spendthrift ways and are looking to the only people who understand the stressful burden Ontarians are carrying - and that is the PC Party of Ontario."

Brown will take his seat in the Legislature, Sept. 14, to begin holding the Liberals accountable for their actions, and to build a better Ontario in 2018.
