The Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation has upgraded the cardiac monitors and and telemetry to the new Philips IntelliVue system at the Kincardine hospital, and the Kincardine hospital auxiliary is pleased to purchase the monitors for this new system.
The foundation has been working on this great project over three years and the installation was completed in July at a cost of $212,912.
Meanwhile, the hospital auxiliary has been busy fund-raising, and has proudly purchased the four cardiac monitors worth $42,819.
The nursing staff is thrilled with the new equipment which gives them the necessary tools for patients requiring constant and close monitoring.
The new Telemetry-Cardiac system will help the staff provide excellence in patient services. RN Becky Crawford, one of the nurses in the emergency room, says the touch-screen monitors are so much easier to use and quickly retrieve patient information. She adds that the small portable monitor is great!
The auxiliary has also been able to purchase the following equipment for the hospital over the past two years:
The auxiliary appreciates the community’s generous and continuous support of all its fund-raising efforts. Thanks also to all the auxiliary members who work so hard in these projects. Through everyone’s support, the auxiliary is able to give back to the community and families in a meaningful way!
