The Bruce County Public Library - Kincardine Branch and The Reading Network are hosting a meeting on the topic “Helping Your Child Become a Better Reader,” Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the Kincardine branch (727 Queen St., Kincardine) from 6:30 - 8 p.m. Agenda includes developing strong readers, signs of reading problems, and demonstration of on-line reading intervention services. Everyone welcome.

Tiverton Park Manor will be hosting its annual Cruise Night, Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 5 p.m. There will be music, a barbecue and prizes. Shine them up and show them off! All car enthusiasts with their favourite vehicles, any year, any make, can come out to display their pride and joy.

It’s time to think about what your Fair Display will be. The theme this year is "Sow It, Grow It, Show It". It’s open to any individual, business or family. The judging will take place on-site between Sept. 9-12.
