GRACE LaVERNE (nee WHITE) McPHERSON

Grace LaVerne (nee White) McPherson of Tiverton died peacefully, Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Huron Shores Hospice, Tiverton, one week after celebrating her 95th birthday. Born March 20, 1931, on the 9th Concession of Kincardine Township, she was the daughter of John and Ruby (Caslick) White. Beloved wife of the late Donald “Stuart” McPherson. Dear mother of Don and Alex (Leona) of Tiverton, Joyce Colwell (Jack O’Conner) of Cargill, Jean (Rick) Dunbar of Edmonton, Alberta; Bob (Sandra) and Jim (Liz), both of Tiverton, and Carol (John) Maus of Tara. Cherished grandmother of 19 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Dearly missed by her sisters, Elsie (Earl) Jenkins and Sheila (Paul) Rintoul; brothers-in-law, Harry Reutz (Theresa), Norman Campbell, and Mervyn (Jeanette) Catto; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Donald “Stuart” McPherson (2004); daughters-in-law, Bonnie McPherson (1994) and Joan McPherson (2005); son-in-law, Ronald Colwell (2005); grandson, Owen McPherson (1978); great-grandson, Milo McPherson-Vanniekerk (2022); sisters, Audrey (Angus) McKay and Bernice (James) Zuber; brother, Gordon (Marlene) White; brothers-in-law, Angus (Helen) McPherson, Eoin McPherson and Bruce (Grace) McPherson; sisters-in-law, Eva (Grant) Begg, Catherine Ruetz, Jean Campbell, and Marguerite Catto; and her parents, John and Ruby (nee Caslick) White. The family thanks all the staff members at Tiverton Park Manor, Trillium Court Long-Term Care, and Huron Shores Hospice for their care. Friends and relatives are invited to a funeral service, Friday, April 10, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Reception to follow in the church activity room. Private family interment, Tiverton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Huron Shores Hospice, or Knox Presbyterian Church in Tiverton, would be appreciated by the family.
